Ready to Initiate?
You must meet these basic requirements to be eligible for initiation:
I. You must be a declared psychology, psychobiology, or cognitive science major.
II. You must be a member of Psi Chi for at least 2 quarters prior to initiation.
III. You must have attended at least 2 meetings per quarter prior to initiation.
IV. You must meet all of the requirements for one of the levels of membership, outlined in our Membership page.
If you meet all the requirements, please provide all the necessary materials listed below.
Required Materials
All of the following materials must be submitted by the due date:
- Your UCLA Psi Chi Membership Card with enough stamps for the level at which you plan to initiate.
- A copy of your Degree Progress Report with both your cumulative and major GPAs highlighted.
- A check, made out to Psi Chi for $62, which includes registration fees, a membership pin, and honor cords for graduation, or a check for $45 for registration only.
- A fully completed Psi Chi Registration Card. (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.)
Initiation Ceremony
The initiation ceremony for all members who initiate this academic year will be held at the end of Spring 2010. We encourage all members, including those who initiated in the past and those who will initiate in the future, to attend and support the 2009-2010 initiates. More information will be posted as the event approaches.
